Great stuff as usual. Based on your comments that it’s fairly unlikely any of the rookies (other than Michkov) will make the opening roster, I’m wondering what your thoughts are on whether the Flyers are basically “running it back” this year, at least to start. To potentially “block” young talent for some of the NHL average or below players on the roster seems out of alignment with a rebuild, and it’s not like the Flyers were world beaters last year, especially after Hart left. With their goaltending being somewhat tenuous going in, do they have a realistic chance of being better this year? I’m all for being patient with player development, but it’s not clear to me what the end game is for this season.
