DALLAS -- 60 strong minutes in regulation gave the Philadelphia Flyers a chance to spring an upset victory over the powerhouse Dallas Stars. Nine disastrous seconds in overtime let it slip away.
The Flyers rebounded from an early 2-0 deficit to force extra time against the Stars, one of the league's premier teams. But a lost faceoff by Ryan Poehling and miscommunication in the corner between goalie Sam Ersson and defenseman Travis Sanheim put the puck on the stick of Thomas Harley, who slid the puck between Ersson's pads for his second of the night and the gamewinner, sending the Flyers out of Texas the hard-luck 3-2 losers.
