PHILADELPHIA -- It didn't take long for the Philadelphia Flyers to serve notice to the visiting New York Rangers that this Black Friday, the home team would be doing the post-Thanksgiving celebrating.
Bobby Brink scored just 3:14 minutes into the first period, as the Flyers cruised to a dominant 3-1 victory over their rivals from up the New Jersey Turnpike. Travis Konecny potted two goals to support Brink (one an empty-netter to put the game on ice), while Ivan Fedotov stopped 22 shots to earn the win.
Igor Shesterkin kept the Rangers within striking distance via a 32-save effort, but it wasn't nearly enough to turn away the Flyers, who moved to 11-10-3 with the victory.
