MONTREAL -- Brad Shaw is no longer undefeated as interim head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers. And the Philadelphia Flyers no longer have even a remote chance of making the NHL postseason.
The Flyers entered the third period up 1-0 over the Montreal Canadiens, but goals from Brendan Gallagher, Lane Hutson and Nick Suzuki in the final stanza sent Philadelphia to a 3-2 defeat -- the team's first loss since the ouster of former head coach John Tortorella. It also officially knocked the Flyers out of playoff contention, making it five consecutive seasons for the club that will not go beyond Game 82.
