Excellent article. I’m rooting for Barkey.

I thought Gendron popped the most in the first half of the game, but Barkey settled in and was ultimately the best player on the ice. He made a lot of smart, subtle plays with the puck. I was not expecting him to be that good or confident with the puck. If he was 6ft he would be our top prospect

Briere: 5′9″, 174 lb
Johnny Hockey: 5′9″,163 lb

Aside from performing at the AHL level, what does he need? He seems to have the smarts, skill, skating, and most importantly the compete.

My point being, his size isn’t the problem.

I don’t know the respective stats but I have to assume Johnny and Danny both had much more prolific junior numbers.

I am way behind on these articles…great article on Barkey, a player who I believe in and am excited for his future!
