I think Briere, Jone & Tochett focus on team culture is paying off

Flyers are a small team that needs to defend with more stick work rather than their bodies. TK has to hook McKinnen or he will push him aside. It’s what happens when you’re the small guys out there.

That’s how Briere played as well. If you checked him hard you might not pay for it right away, but Briere would remember and a nasty slash or dick tap was coming your way at some point in the season. Ovi never took a cheap shot on him again after the faceoff spear to the nuts.

Another great article, too bad the Flyers aren’t as consistent as you, Charlie! I love all the details including the shot chart and game metrics! Two of our potentially top stars shinned in this one as Tippett nets the hatty and Michkov has his best point scoring game of the season! Kudos to TK for giving up the empty netter goal to Michkov who deservingly was out there late. Hopefully Tocchet will take the offensive approach to end games while leading rather than playing it safe which this team really isn’t built for. This game gives hope that the Flyers have (4) Superstars on the current roster in TK, Zegras, Michkov & Tippett. On each of their best games they can compete with any team, they just have to get there more often than not.
