It will be an interesting decision for Briere if the Flyers are just out of contention come March – stay put or sell (he’s not going to be a buyer, obviously – unless its a long term play).

Speaking of long term plays – Charlie, have you heard anything about the Flyers making a legit pitch for Robert Thomas?

I wonder what it would take to get him – a pretty high price, I imagine, but how high? Foerster ++ seems a bit too low, Michkov +/- is likely what it would take. I dont see the Flyers doing that, though. Or giving up Martone.

Foerster, Luchanko/Bonk, a first…?

PS – I doubt that last gets the trade done. If it does, Danny should jump on it.

Flyers continued their dismal play except for TK & Vladar. Rather than join their efforts, the rest of the team wilted again. This team just lacks decision making and finish, which could also be lumped into the prior category.

Tocchet is a bigger factor than the players as to how this non-rebuild will progress. His performance as coach has proven to many that he is not the flexible coach he purported to be, and his adherence to an outdated approach in handling young skilled talent will cause the Flyers to pay a price bigger than the salary he receives by contract.

Cut bait now.
