Thanks for all the detail Charlie! Question for you. Given the smoke around the Kraken and the 7th overall pick, do you see any world where the Flyers talk with them about a deal centering around Tippett? It would allow us to restock the D pipeline and free up additional cap space if they do intend to actually make a nuclear offer sheet for somebody like Carlsson.
I understand it’s entirely unlikely but would love to hear your thoughts on if the Flyers made some aggressive moves like that over the next week.

AuthorI’m skeptical they’d move Tippett in a deal for a draft pick. I think if he gets moved, it’ll be in a hockey trade to help the team now.

I hear you Charlie when you talk about the Flyers and their size approach and personally I don’t hold size as the be all end all. I keep seeing Caulfield and DeBrincat sniping goals. The Flyers could use one of those types.

Smart article, Charlie! You really have the pulse of the Flyers as you nailed their pick here and provided their other targets that were taken ahead of it. It did serve them well to trade back to get Maksim Sokolovskii. It does however fly in the face of them saying they were fine with the low volume of picks given last years abundance of draft selections. Still, it was the right move if this was their target all along. The insights on each player here is greatly appreciated!
