The Coots line may be the Flyers top line in name, but my god, Coots looks like a shell of himself (and i have been a huge fan of his for most of his career). Not sure how he grades out via analytics – probably fairly well, as I am sure he does all the little things and plays with great hockey IQ – but there is virtually no offensive playmaking on display anymore in the last few games of his i have seen.

Well done Ersson. If I’m going to kneecap you when you suck, I’ll prop you up when you are great.

Solid performance by Ersson, whose abilities I have vocally doubted in the past. More of this please!

Two things happened that were greatly needed: a Flyers win & a good game by Ersson. Ersson only giving up a single goal against a quality opponent was as rare as a Comet sighting lately. This is the backup that the Flyers needed all season, hopefully he will now find his confidence. TK was still probably the star by singlehandedly winning the game for the Flyers on his dual breakaways. What a great start to this roadtrip!
