I blame the new camera dangling over the crowd.
Michael Curran
Charlie,
Disagree a little on the shorthanded goal. Did Drysdale and Brink have a role in it? Yes. However the 3rd culprit was Ersson himself. Control the dump in better and maybe the entire scenario doesn’t happen. Was he responsible for the loss? No but that is what kicked this debacle off.
Charlie O'Connor
AuthorYeah, I found out later that Boucher really pushed this on the broadcast, and I think that played into why so many people in my mentions blamed Ersson for the goal.
I just don’t see it. I guess he could have played it better, but to me, this goal is way more on the skaters’ lack of effort than him.
Michael Curran
I actually think the biggest culprit of the 3 was Drysdale. I understand Brink chasing the puck but what Drysdale did in following Brink and leaving the slot vacant was the egregious sin in all this. In my opinion.
David LaVeck
The Flyers can never just show up to a game and expect to win, they felt good about themselves after the Avs game and mailed this one in. While Ersson didn’t lose this game, even though he actually did, he was overmatched in this one. Thank you for asking the question about why not stick with the hot PP unit? Answer: Michkov, any unit he is on gets second rate treatment, shoot he isn’t even allowed to play his position.
