PHILADELPHIA — Now that’s the Philadelphia Flyers team that they were supposed to be entering the 2026-27 season.
Four days after back-to-back losses to Columbus and Washington sparked controversial postgame comments from captain Sean Couturier and veteran leader Nick Seeler, the Flyers delivered one of their most complete efforts of the season, taking down emerging Western Conference power Utah by a 6-3 final score. They were fueled in no small part by the returns of Travis Konecny (10 games missed) and Owen Tippett (six games) — particularly Konecny, who potted his first goal of the season and added an assist.
Matvei Michkov scored his team-leading tenth goal for the Flyers, who also received tallies from Oliver Bonk, Christian Dvorak, Noah Cates and Cole Knuble in the victory. Dan Vladar made 19 saves to earn the win.

Do you think the flyers players have the physical ability to keep playing this way all season? I doubt it. Zegras was lucky to not be hurt in the play and it will only take one or two injuries to out skill players for this team to be historically bad on offense.
