Two more days remain at Philadelphia Flyers rookie camp (practices on Monday and Tuesday), but the weekend series against the prospects from the New York Rangers organization is justifiably the primary focus. It’s the first time that fans get to see players wearing the Orange and Black in an organized event in the lead-up to the start of the 2026-27 season, and it’s the first opportunity for the prospects to impress the Flyers brass.
Lots of prospects did just that in Allentown over the weekend.
The Flyers took both games, winning a 3-2 nail-biter on Saturday and then cruising to a 4-1 victory on Sunday. Given the scores, it’s little surprise that this series produced more standouts than disappointments — specifically among the big names at camp. Let’s take a look at how they all performed.

Solid showing this weekend… though the top Rangers prospects don’t look great. Flyers hockey is back!

Great write-up, Charlie. It’s good to hear Jett is looking more capable.

Fantastic read. I know we don’t have any big name exciting prospects on D but feels like they could develop into the strongest pool since the big 4 a decade ago.

Great insight and observations on each of these players! Their agents should quote this article!
