The Philadelphia Flyers still have 26 players in training camp, even after today’s cuts. But in reality, the final 23-man roster is close to taking full shape.
On Friday afternoon, the Flyers made decisions on their three most prominent remaining youngsters on the roster bubble — Cole Knuble, Jett Luchanko and Oliver Bonk. All entered camp on the outside looking in for a roster spot; all impressed despite that pre-camp status (especially Knuble and Luchanko). But in the end, none of them will start the year with the big club, as all of Knuble, Luchanko, Bonk and Jacob Gaucher were cut from camp and re-assigned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL.
