I really appreciate how, instead of allowing Michkov to work through his issues on the ice where he belongs, Torts sticks him on the bench.

This needs to be the last year for the Dinosaur Dictator. The longer he sticks around, the longer the team will be stuck in perpetual mediocrity–not bad enough to tank, not good enough to make a serious run at anything.

Only we fans seem to think throwing a player out there and giving them major minutes is the best way to develop them.

Totally Agree. Torts is the wrong coach for a rebuild. You get him AFTER the elite talent superstars, 4 or 5 of them, have been acquired, not before. He is not a development coach. He is a get to the final level coach for talented teams already built. He is not good for the young kids. Michkov needs to play, to make some mistakes without getting destroyed by the coach, needs to be allowed to freelance to develop his considerable offensive skill. Torts it not the right guy. His system wins move Flyers into mediocre draft territory and do not develop players to reach their full potential. Time for Torts to go. They must lose out into the top five of the draft, and bring in elite young talent and a patient nurturing developmental coach to groom the talent. This is not Torts. He was a mistake hire three years ago given their need for a rebuild. They should have tanked into the top five of last years draft. Torts will not let that happen. Get some guts DB, and pull the plug on this great coach, too great for where the Flyers are in their rebuild.

Hutson 13 pts in 14 games, Celebrini 10 in 14 and Will Smith 9 in 14 didn’t seemed to hit a January wall.

Right. This is not a MM issue, its a Torts issue.
