On Tuesday, we released our sixth edition of the PHLY Top 20 Philadelphia Flyers prospects list. Then, on Wednesday, Flyers assistant GM Brent Flahr spoke on the eleven forwards that ended up on the list, providing insights on where they all stand within the organization entering the 2026-27 season.
Today, we close out our September prospect series with Part 2 of that conversation. This time, the focus is on the defensemen and goalies — with the No. 2 and No. 3 prospects from our list leading the discussion.

Awesome content.

Besides Martone in the previous installment, I really like our defense and goalie prospects. Besides Bonk these prospects will take a while to cook and it will be years before we see any of them but the depth is there. There are interesting prospects for sure. I also appreciate how the organization views each of these players and their development outlook.

Great piece, Charlie. Always enjoy these interviews you do with Flahr.
Very excited for Soko, and it’s great that Amico has been able to turn things around. Pulling for him.
