Charlie, what does it mean for the Flyers to be a seller this week when the team is on a mini-surge and not out of the playoffs. Especially given Briere’s statements at the beginning of the season that he wouldn’t be a seller
At the minimum , he has to get a significant draft capital for Ristolainen , like a 1st for it to play well in the locker room? add in that Seeler may be out.
Does the locker room attitude post trade matter much?
does Briere’s words mean much?

This team is composed of players who aren’t going to get us to a cup. Who cares what they think? I’m sure the core players would love a draft pick and actual help in the coming years than to be marginally better with Risto on th back end for this year (and next). If he can get a first for Risto from anyone you take that.

They should also trade Vlader now at his peak instead of signing him long term. Imagine the haul we could have gotten for Dvorak

It’s interesting that nowhere are the Flyers being associated with Robert Thomas, even though he’s the perfect fit for them. I wonder how much of this is simply because the Flyers have sort of fallen below the radar as far as the national media goes (and what a fall that is, from the days of Lindros and LeClair!) and how much of that is people in the know not believing that Robert Thomas will give up his NTC for Philly.

Would some combo of a couple of 1st, Luchanko/Nesbitt/Foerster/York get it done, i wonder?

Great ending to a primarily well played game. Vladar gets a pass from me on the second goal given his stellar play for most of the game and season. He had a lot to do with the Flyers winning this game. I agree that Cates has seemed to step his game up which was especially needed in TK’s absence. It is kind of funny that more minutes is correlating to less points for Michkov this season, this wasn’t the case last season, the opposite was true. Still, I believe he should play more as it will only lead to more experience and future success.
