Awesome article Alex!
Alex Appleyard
Thanks so much Kevin!
Erik Hilliard
Great article Alex. I know I have seen Hagens has been the guy you hope drops. Is that still your thinking/hope?
Alex Appleyard
Thanks so much Erik!
And yeh, it would be a perfect scenario in terms of him potentially dropping.
James Classick
I am convinced. Let’s get this guy!
Joseph Mooney
Well written, great article. Thanks
Alex Appleyard
Thanks Joseph. Really appreciate it!
Matthew
Thanks, Alex! I would be so thrilled if Hagens dropped.
Alex Appleyard
Appreciate it Matthew!
Matt
Hagens is the ideal. If Tippet can get his act together and be a little more physical, Tippet, Hagens, Michkov would be legit 1st line.
Justin Schilling
This is a prime example of why I subscribe to allphly. Well done, Alex.
Alex Appleyard
Thanks Justin! Much appreciated.

Agreed with all the comments – this is some of the best analysis of draft prospects I have read.
It certainly puts Hagens’ performance in context – strength is something that will come with time, as long as the player is dedicated. Can’t teach talent, though.
One question – what was Hagens’ age this year in college, compared to Celebrini? Same age or was Hagens younger? If the latter, dragging him is a no-brainer.
Everything about him screams “perfect fit with Michkov”
Alex Appleyard
Thanks Guadzilla!
Celebrini was younger by around 6 months.
But yeh, Hagens could be ideal.

Super article, Alex. I hope your presence at All Phly will continue… and increase.
Alex Appleyard
Thanks rebusflyer!
More articles planned for draft week.

Great stuff, Alex! Any preferences at # 22 and # 31?
Alex Appleyard
If Bear somehow falls that would be the dream.
Potter, Kindel, Reschny, Ryabkin and Zharovsky all have high upsides. Ihs-Wozniak is interesting too but think might be there in 2nd.
D is a bit weaker. Boumedienne would be a good option in my eyes. Aside from that probably wait until 2nd and see. Reid, Boumedienne, Fiddler and Limatov for me are only 4 Dmen who ability wise would be between say picks 20-45 in terms of BPA. Strange draft for Dmen.
Goalie I think Andreyanov is the best, albeit maybe Raversbergen would be the guy for Flyers. But I would wait and see who is there in the second. Those 2, Frolov, Ivankovic and Medvedev all have legit NHL potential. And Rimpinen I love, I wrote about him last year when he went undrafted as a perfect sleeper pick… this year might have to take him in 3rd to get him.

This whole series has been great and has me even more excited for the Draft.
Alex Appleyard
Thanks! And yeh, cant wait until Friday myself.
