Maybe all coaches do that and we just don’t hear about it – but this is the first time I have read about some of the details that coaches get into with players.

It also alleviates to a fair degree my concerns about Tocchet’s fit with MM.

Makes more sence than any speculation i’ve heard. With his skill level , he can beat a defender he’s skating into . A few less talented need to make a move on the turn.

Great research on this article, Charlie! I really hope this will eventually pay off, I see this as more of a long term fix to Michkov’s game. His game did seem to translate more to the Tort’s breakout style but making him more of a complete players should play dividends down the road.
