The Philadelphia Flyers haven’t scored three goals in a game since April 22- game 3 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The team has begun 2026-27 with seven straight losses and have lost 13 of 14 going back to the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Bill, Charlie & Mellerman break down the loss, discussing Joseph Woll, Oliver Bonk, Tick Tocchet and the Flyers’ lack of “compete.”

I like all the points made . Regarding compete , I see it this way. The success late last season including playoffs was 100% Captain Coots and two fourth line nobody old guys out competing the top players they were against. Barkey has “ compete” every shift. The team attitude seems to be , I don’t have to do that because I have skills that make up for it. The compete HAS to start in the locker room. Every player needs to go out with the attitude that they will out play Barkey and Coots. That’s Flyers Hockey! Jonesey needs to behind closed doors let everyone know , I will start over if we have too.
