@39:11 He gets back into his good graces by the coach not holding grudges for 5-6 months. Did he admit he screwed up? Did he hold himself accountable? Did he work to get back into shape? If yes to all 3, you say Thank You and move on. If he does it again next year, then you have a real problem.
“Sometimes we have to remind the coaches…” Management doesn’t need to micro-manage the coach, they were hired for a reason. But his success and the team as well will determine how long they remain employed. Torts, for everything that was wrong with him, did let the kid play.
