He’s right that stick penalties, especially the absurd volume of them, is unacceptable. I have zero problem with him making any player ride the pine, including MM.

Great article, Charlie! You point out the issues and breakdown the infractions with how many of them are stick penalties. By listing the types of penalties and the players who commit them regularly it is easy to see that TK is the guy that Tocchet is referring to. As you stated, taking him out of the lineup after he just won you a game is tricky. There is not an easy solution to a growing problem…Michkov has been the biggest offender for the season on a whole but has been better lately plus as you stated his ice time is already be cut short so really he has been dealt with already. Hopefully this can work itself out with the message being delivered publicly.
