Thank you guys for the update. It seems the pipeline has a much greater influx of talent than recent years. Kudos to Briere and his staff. Big picture question here. Where do YOU GUYS rank the Flyers pipeline in the entire NHL?

Make no mistake, this article wasn’t to be sure we “make no mistake”

Really nice job guys – excellent read!
But, I was legit shocked to see Kolosov’s name on here.

I think there is hope for him – he basically came into the NHL without any AHL seasoning. As did Fedotov, for that matter.

Fantastic overview of where things currently stand. The highlight of the article perhaps being Grebenkin’s style of play being described as truculent.
I’m still not sure that this whole organizational endeavor doesn’t ultimately come down to one of those two netminders being exceptional. But we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we.
Thanks for taking the time.

Haha, yeah, i came here to applaud the use of “truculent” as well. 🙂

Thanks, Alex and Charlie, for a much needed hockey fix.
It’s clear that the Flyers have very definitive beliefs about skating deficiencies (atleast some specific ones) being caused by growth spurts, and being fixable with training (technique and strength) – so far, that does seem to have borne out.
I am a big believer that depth wins in playoffs, and the Flyers seem to have a lot of potential there: With TK, MM and Martone as 3 first-line calibre wingers, there is a lot of good middle-6 depth and prospects that can give the Flyers 2 2nd lines, in terms of talent/production. Will that be enough to offset an elite 1C? Remains to be seen but it should certainly make the Flyers a lot more competitive.
In an ideal case, one of these center prospects can become good enough to anchor the 1st line: something ala Coots in his prime should be plenty good, especially paired with the potential depth on other lines. If this comes to pass, 2C should be relatively easily solvable: if nothing else, all this depth provides the Flyers with the ammo to make hockey trades for other cracks at that position.

Enjoyed the article and the analysis. Great work. Looks like Flyers have two top shelf prospects in the pipeline, Martone and Zavragin. The rest look like a few “maybe” possible second liners, and mostly third and fourth liners. So progress looks to have been made, as this team is desperate for first line elite talent. Having two to add to Michkov is improvement. The write-up on Zavragin is interesting, clearly you guys see him as a stud potential elite goalie on the horizon. That is huge if true. So, they still need that elusive 1-C and 1-D, and then we can start to get excited a bit. One more tanking to grab one of those two first line needs would help, and then perhaps they can get that other 1-C spot, maybe the 1-D, through trade of Free Agency signing in 2026 / 2027. Perhaps there is finally some light at the end of the perpetual mediocre tunnel.

Fun, as always. Would be great to see who was on the list last year that isn’t on now, and maybe some prospects that were considered but didn’t make the cut.

I appreciate the notes on each player from both Alex & Charlie, well done!
