Torts for all his noise sure had a lot of young players (and a few older ones too) develop and improve while he was here. Sanheim, Konecny, Brink, Cates, Ristolainen, Walker, Drysdale, Poehling, Tippet, Seeler and Michkov….And when they got better he was one of their most vocal supporters. I remember during a presser Torts saying that Team Canada ought to be adding Sanheim, that he’d been playing great and ‘hasn’t skated backwards in a month’……Good article Charlie

While I am glad that this article was wrong about Sanheim winning gold with team Canada, it hits on all the right points regarding Sanheim. This article provides a definitive chronicle of Sanheim’s career trajectory with all of his ups and downs. Travis deserves all the praise offered by a spot on the prestigious team Canada Olympic squad. I hope that the Olympics and his silver medal serves as another launching point for his career as a Flyer.
