“he ghosted us” is really the silver bullet here. When you make that personal and add in that he ghosted LeClair and Sharp in fall and Jones/Briere in Sweden, it makes it look even worse for cutter. It does obfuscate the fact that it typically takes both parties to screw up a game of telephone. For instance if cunter felt dissed because they weren’t rushing to sign him, sure he should have said that, but perhaps Briere needed to better communicate how much they wanted him. In the end, they got a good return for a player that didn’t want to be here, regardless of the reason, which allows us to move on without killing the front office for it.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but can’t these players dictate where they work by not declaring for the draft. What would happen if they didn’t declare for the draft? Would they become an undrafted FA?

I think they need to age out of draft eligibility to enter league as fa without first passing through draft

The guy, like most his age, simply needs to mature and learn from this experience. Imagine interviewing for your first real/career job, accepting the job offer and then not showing up and ghosting your employer. That’s essentially what happened here. I hope the kid grows up in a hurry, because he already burned his first opportunity to stick in this league.
