Question: shouldn’t the Flyers receive compensation from COL for R. Johansen being “injured?” Despite Philly having no plans to play him in the NHL and only taking on his contract in the Walker deal to pull the Avs’ first-round pick, I just don’t understand how a guy can play the whole season – and allegedly the morning skate the day he was traded – but not report or claim an injury. Why wouldn’t COL be obligated to send a late-round pick to PHI for trading an injured player?
