The Eagles became the first NFL team since 2016 to clinch a division title with a quarterback making his first start of the season after defeating the visiting Dallas Cowboys in convincing fashion on Sunday with Jalen Hurts out of the lineup. Here were my biggest takeaways from the win.
1. HOW SAQUON GOT TO 2K
Saquon Barkley became the ninth player in NFL history to hit the 2000-yard mark on Sunday, and did it as the second-oldest player to hit the milestone (Barry Sanders was 29 years old when he hit it in 1997). What got Barkley over the summit? It’s only right that it was one of their go-to plays of the 2024 season.
