One of the things I was most interested in about the Eagles’ Week 8 battle against the Cincinnati Bengals was the performance of quarterback Jalen Hurts. How would he respond after what was certainly a less than stellar game in the win over the New York Giants?
The answer?
In a big, big way.
Hurts hit a bunch of milestones after scoring three touchdowns on the ground in Sunday’s victory but, more importantly, his bounceback as a passer against the Bengals was especially encouraging. Hurts completed 80 percent of his passes (16 of 20) for 236 yards and that big-play touchdown to DeVonta Smith, a play that should look at least somewhat familiar to Eagles fans …
