Through two games, the Eagles defense has been closer to the one from the latter half of 2023 as opposed to the unit that went to the Super Bowl in 2022. The run defense has been one of the worst in football. The tackling has not been good. The pass rush has been nearly non-existent. They’re not forcing turnovers at a high clip. It’s only a two-game sample, obviously, but early returns would say that this unit is very much still a work in progress.
