Linebacker play is always a bit of a lightning rod topic in Philadelphia, and has been for most of my adult life. I’ve long agreed with the Eagles’ approach to the position (which is a longer discussion for another day), but what I enjoy most about it is the process of finding the diamonds in the rough that hit in a big way. T.J. Edwards coming in as an undrafted free agent and giving you good play for a few years before he signs a big-money contract elsewhere is a good example. Bargain-basement shopping and finding Zack Baun in free agency would be a similar type of success story to add to that list (obviously there are many on the opposite side of that spectrum).
