    For a brief minute, it appeared that injury updates on key defensemen directly from the mouth of general manager Daniel Briere would be the biggest piece of news today in the world of the Philadelphia Flyers.

    Just as Briere began to speak with the traveling media in Montreal on Thursday morning, reports emerged that goaltender Ivan Fedotov's two-year contract with his KHL club CSKA had been terminated.
