NEW ORLEANS — The heartfelt exchange between Eagles franchise left tackle Jordan Mailata and Washington linebacker Frankie Luvu after the NFC Championship Game included relevant instructions for Mailata for the Super Bowl week — and also cut to the heart of something that’s been on Mailata’s mind.
“Keep representing for our culture, bro,” Mailata said to Luvu, as captured by NFL Films.
“You know you put it on for our people,” Luvu said to Mailata. “Keep repping.”
Mailata is the NFL’s official ambassador to Australia and his journey from a rugby player in Melbourne to NFL stardom will be repeated often this week. But Luvu wasn’t referencing Australia.
