Their off season priority now has to be to find an elite young 1-C now. Not next year. Now. That means a meaningful trade has to be found now. Perhaps moving both their first round picks this year, plus a top player such as Konecny. Or include more. Go get that top young 1-C. This will have to come in a trade, as they will not be drafting high enough again to get one there, and cannot play in the FA market as they do not have the cap space. So GM Briere, has to earn his money with a blockbuster move so he has his first line set for the next decade, working together starting now.
