As a newshound, sometimes you sniff the wrong scent. So it was at the beginning of a rainy practice Saturday morning that I missed the fireworks in search of a big scoop. That scoop? The as-yet-unannounced presence of undrafted rookie offensive lineman Gottlieb Ayedze, who originally joined the team after the draft.
Perched in my usual position watching offensive line individual drills, I noticed Ayedze taking reps as the third-team right tackle. Knowing Ayedze's addition had not yet been reported (though it was reported he worked out for the team yesterday), I fired off a tweet that send a shiver down Adam Schefter's spine.
