Philadelphia Flyers grades at the quarter-mark of the season

21 games are officially in the books for the 2023-24 Philadelphia Flyers. That means that the team is already through over 25 percent of the season.

Which makes it the perfect time for a good old-fashioned grading exercise.

My grading weights both on-ice performance, and preseason expectations. A player with a B+ grade, therefore, hasn't necessarily been better in terms of value added than one receiving a C+. But if the C+ player is being relied upon to deliver top-of-the-lineup results, while Mr. B+ is thriving in his more limited role, then in my estimation, he deserves the higher grade.
