Is there a right handed power bat coming before Thursday’s deadline, and what will it take to get him?
Evan Mantel
I think this lineup is too hopeless. Too many holes (stott and at least 2 Ofs; 3 depending on how you feel about Casty). Only bat out there that could be meaningful help imo would be Kwan (Suarez’s position issues mean he doesn’t really solve problems for this team). And even with Kwan, this lineup is still pretty gappy (and waaaaay to prone to swing and miss)
Michael Curran
Was it really STEEP? Even if Suarez walks which I think he will next year’s rotation was going to to be Wheeler,Sanchez,Noa, Lizard and Painter with Walker on his final year. Abel wasn’t cracking that. Tait despite his potential tools was about 3-4 years away with no guarantee. Some even thought his long term position wasn’t even going to be as a catcher. The Phillies will have a few more drafts to pick up catching prospects and if not with Middleton there is always free agency. Also the Phillies stocked the pitching pipeline with the recent draft with a few potential fast risers.
Dombrowski stole Duran. Now we just need to hope he isn’t Estevez all over again. Dombrowski needs to go get that RH bat to slide in behind Harper and finish this race to the division title.
Michael Curran
Well Bader isn’t the RH bat a lot of fans were looking for. He is “just a guy”. You know like Hays, Kepler and anyone else that has passed through this OF.

Tait is actually still 18, not 19.
