The problem I see with the quick hook is asking the bullpen to shut it down for that long. If Lorenzen shows he can go back to the pen & lock it down for multiple inning they would be in business. Maybe Sanchez could be that guy too.

FYI about the site, if we forget to accept terms of the privacy policy before clicking to post, it still posts the comment. This is what is likely causing some of the double posts I’ve been seeing & I know it caused mine just now. A feature allow us to delete posts would be nice or make the accepting the privacy policy box something accept on our profiles

The good thing is, the Phillies can actively plan to piggyback him. At least two starters are going to the pen, so the Phils can simply designate one for Nola days

This seems to be the best plan. And I dont see much of an issue with Thomson knowing when to pull him. Seeing how he used the bullpen last post season he will error on the side of pulling a starter too early. Getting 5+ innings from Nola and Lorenzen would be ideal in a game 2.

My main concern with this is it feels like you need to chain Nola to either Lorenzen or Walker and I don’t trust either of those guys either. Playoff rotation needs to be Wheeler, Suarez, Nola, and Sanchez.
