A month after being named captain of the Philadelphia Flyers, Sean Couturier was relegated to the press box by head coach John Tortorella, a healthy scratch for the first time in his career.

The Flyers responded with one of their best games in weeks, taking a 1-0 lead 19 seconds after puck drop and never looking back. Sam Ersson was solid as well, with a little help from the posts, and Philly picked up 2 huge points against a Leafs team they haven’t beaten since November 9, 2019.
