The San Jose Sharks lost their first 11 games (0-10-1) by a combined score of 54-12. So of course the Flyers went into the Shark Tank last night and look absolutely horrible, handing San Jose their first win of the 2023-24 season, dropping the game 2-1. Sean Couturier, Travis Konecny and the Flyers offense made Mackenzie Blackwood, who came into the game with a save—percentage in the .870s, look like Dominik Hasek, peppering him with mostly non-threatening shots from the perimeter, allowing him to stop 38 of 39 shots en route to the Sharks first victory since April 1, 2023 (San Jose ended last season on a 6-game losing streak Charlie & Bill react to the embarrassment, as well as John Tortorella’s decision to scratch Morgan Frost again, and the overall direction of the rebuild.
