In a big departure from what we’ve seen between the Flyers and Bruins in recent matchups, Philly & Boston played low-event hockey for 40 minutes with only 25 total shots on goal, and one tally on the board- a big power play goal by Travis Konecny late in the 2nd to give the Flyers a 1-0 lead heading into the final frame of regulation.
The Flyers held on to beat the Bruins for the first time in 8 attempts, and only the 4th time in the last 4 seasons. Travis Konecny and Tyson Foerster added goals in the 3rd period to escape the Bruins.
Bill, JP & Charlie break down the action, including Sam Ersson’s effort against a Boston team that has lit up Philly in recent years, as well as Sean Couturier’s return after 2 games in the press box.
