The Philadelphia 76ers turned in their second inexcusable defensive effort in as many games, falling to the Knicks by a score of 138-89 in a game that was never competitive.
The Knicks built up a 30 point lead at the half, making most of the second half little more than extended garbage time. The Knicks were led by 22 points, five rebounds and six assists from Mikal Bridges, along with a 21 point, 11 rebound and 5 assist performance by Karl-Anthony Towns. Jose Alvarado added 26 off the bench in just 19 minutes of play.
For the Sixers, Tyrese Maxey had 32 points on 9-21 shooting, with VJ Edgecombe adding 14. The Sixers were without Joel Embiid, Quentin Grimes and Paul George.
