Paul George had a bounceback season for the Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game in his second season with the Sixers, while regaining his shooting touch and connecting on 39.2% of his 3-point attempts. George was a driving force in the Sixers’ first-round upset of Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics. But George’s 25-game suspension limited him to just 37 appearances for the Sixers this year, and he ran out of steam in the second round of the playoffs. This raises the question: does George’s massive contract limit the depth the Sixers can put around Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe, and should the Sixers consider trading their All-Star forward to try to improve their depth?
