The Philadelphia 76ers cruised to their 4th straight win, this one a 125-103 road victory over the Portland Trailblazers on the back of a dominant 37-point, 9 rebound performance from Joel Embiid, who continues to find his groove after missing 16 of the team’s first 20 games. The victory, the Sixers’ 10th win in the last 13 games, improved the Sixers to 13-17 on the season as they look to climb up the Eastern Conference standing after their slow start.
In addition to Embiid the Sixers received big performances from Tyrese Maxey (23 points, 3 assists), Kelly Oubre Jr (15 points, 8 steals) and Guerschon Yabusele (16 points and 4 rebounds off the bench). The Sixers’ defense, led by Kelly Oubre Jr’s eight steals, forced the young Blazers into 24 turnovers. It was a career-high in steals for Oubre, and something that only four players in franchise history have surpassed.
