The Sixers kicked off their 3 game road trip with a blowout loss to Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets, falling to 37-32 on the season as they look to avoid the play-in tournament in a packed Eastern Conference playoff race. The Nuggets shot 57% from the field and 9-17 from 3-point range in the first half as they built up their 32-point halftime lead. Jokic dished out 10 assists in just 14 first-half minutes of play.

VJ Edgecombe, who played in foul trouble for most of the night and struggled with his outside shot, had a disappointing night as the only regular starter that the Nick Nurse had available, as the Sixers continue to play without stars Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George. Adem Bona’s 3 blocked shots, and MarJon Beauchamp’s strong perimeter shooting off the bench, were some of the few standouts in an otherwise ugly performance.

The Sixers will finish off their their three game west coast road trip with games in Sacramento and Utah on Thursday and Saturday night, respectively.
