Despite playing without Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, the Philadelphia 76ers took a late fourth-quarter lead against the Boston Celtics thanks to a career night from Patrick Beverley, some tough shot-making by De’Anthony Melton and an overall spirited performance up and down the roster. But, largely thanks to one of the worst halves of Tobias Harris’ Philadelphia career, the Sixers came up short, losing to the Celtics 125-119 in a critical Eastern Conference showdown.
