POSTGAME 2

Despite a valiant effort in the first half, the very shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers, playing without starters Joel Embiid, Paul George, Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr, while also missing reserve big men Adem Bona and Andre Drummond, fell to the Eastern Conference leading Detroit Pistons on Thursday night to fall to 35-31 on the season.

Detroit took control thanks to a 31-25 quarter, with All-Star big man Jalen Duren, who finished with 9 points and 6 rebounds in the frame, taking over the game. The Pistons received a balanced attack, with Duncan Robinson, Tobias Harris, Kevin Huerter, Javonte Green, Ron Holland, Isaiah Stewart and Duren all finishing in double figures. Cade Cunningham dished out 13 assists in the win.
