Salisbury: From bullpen to backup catcher, Phillies have a few questions to answer during Grapefruit League play

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Phillies begin Grapefruit League play on Saturday against the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland. The team’s goal over the next five weeks is to stay healthy and be ready to win ball games when the regular season opens March 27 in Washington.
With the third-highest payroll in the game and a roster dotted with stars, there are only a few questions that must be answered during exhibition play. Let’s look at some of them.
