Salisbury: Sellout crowds, ‘stud’ Edmundo Sosa and a big weekend series for Phillies vs. Dodgers

The pitch came off of Blake Treinen’s fingertips at 95.3 miles per hour and zoomed straight at Edmundo Sosa’s head. He hit the dirt, the menacing fastball just missing his noggin.
It’s not unusual for a hitter to take some time to check for missing body parts after such a dusting. But Sosa took no time. He popped up, dug his spikes into the batter’s box and got ready to deliver one of the most important moments of this still very young Phillies season.
