Saquon Barkley does not want to count someone else’s paycheck, but he can count someone else’s statistics. And the Eagles running back has seen one of the arguments for signing Barkley come to bear this season.
The NFL’s three leading rushers are Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, and Josh Jacobs. Each was a free agent in March. Each changed teams. And each has a material effect on a contender’s success – and more of an effect than free agents at other positions who were signed for as much or more than them.
