Paul George is expected to sign a four-year, $212 million contract with the Sixers in free agency, a source confirmed to PHLY, bringing a third star to Philadelphia in a push to keep Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey competitive in an increasingly brutal Eastern Conference.
The Sixers’ pursuit of George has been no secret this offseason, with the California native ranking at the top of the list of targets thanks to his hand-in-glove fit and their ability to sign him without surrendering additional assets. A contingent from Philadelphia met with George in the hours immediately after free agency opened on Sunday, with a deal coming together early Monday morning.
