VJ Edgecombe rebounded from a scoreless first half with 15 points in the second half, powering the Sixers to a 74-58 win in a slugfest vs. the Wizards in Summer League.
Here's what I saw.
The duality of VJ Edgecombe
Edgecombe looked every bit like a guy who played one game, took a week off due to a thumb contusion, and was thrown back into the mix against players who have been going at it at game speed all weekend. The officials made some ridiculous non-calls in the first half — including on a missed jumper where Edgecombe got smacked in the head — but Edgecombe made some errors that were all his own, including a smoked layup at the rim and a couple of rough misses from beyond the arc.
